You're just in time for Story Hour with Miss Patty, and just your luck, today's story is the story of this site! Let's listen in. "This, boys and girls, is a story of determination and insanity," Miss Patty is saying, "It all began when a group of people started posting regularly on the Gilmore Girls Fan Fiction Discussion thread on fanforum.com. This group loved reading and writing fan fiction, but found there were too many bad fics infiltrating the good ones. One day an idea formed in Grace's head: Why not create a site where only exceptional fic is allowed? She shared the idea with the group, and received immediate support and praise. It was soon realized this was far too big a job for one person. Grace was elected to oversee the entire site, since it was her brain child. She elected Liza to edit the layouts, and Jessica to create graphics for the site. Subsections were decided upon, and with them came the advisors for each subsection: Roxy, emrie, Christine, Kay, Ally, Trixie, Ash, Miya, and Nate. A review board was then made, and soon people had plenty to do. The site began to take shape until it became the site you are at today thanks to all their hard work. As the site grew in size, and age, change occured, as it so often does, and the site has benefited from the hard work of the many other staff members who came into the fold as original members began to leave, including, but not limited to, Oregano, Jamie, Surya, Susie, Kat, Joan and many others. Also, when Grace stepped down from her position she named Ash as her successor. The site still strives to find the best fic the internet has to offer, and maintain a well balanced staff of elitests. And that, my friends, is the story of how Proud and Prejudiced came to be, and why we celebrate good fic every day. Now, we still have a little time left in our story hour.
