Title: When She Cries Chapter Eight: Choking On Regrets
I wish for things that I don't need/All I wanted/And what I chase won't set me free/ All I wanted/And I get scared but I'm not crawling on my knees.
Clubbing wasn’t really what it use to be. Which was rather sad considering they were only juniors in high school. But pretty much the guys were all slime and offering one thing- really horrible sex. In the bathroom, no less. The plus side of the clubbing scene is that at the particular club they were at, they didn’t ever check I.D.s there. This meant, of course, that Lola and Aurora were wonderfully buzzed. Lola sank down on the floor by the desk, not really wanting to go any further. Aurora sat down across from her. “I officially give up on the male population,” Aurora announced with a mellow dramatic sigh. Lola looked up with interest, eyes wide. “Truly? I can’t ever imagine why. Especially after that spec-tac-u-lar offer I received to be ‘well and truly fucked’ in the bathroom stall.” “At least your offer was indoors,” Aurora exclaimed. “Mine was in the alleyway, against a wall.” She frowned, “We need a solution.” “We could buy vibrators,” Her friend suggested. “I do try not to act middle aged until I reach there, please,” Lola replied. “No. We should be lesbians.” “Lesbians?” Aurora seemed to mull it over in her mind. “But wouldn’t we miss the penetration?” That stumped the rather buzzed Lola. “Hmm. Well it is just foreplay. So we’d be gaining all that we miss out on with heterosexual sex.” “This is true,” Aurora agreed, sliding down until she was lying down. “I danced all night.” “You know,” Lola began, crawling to be beside Aurora. “Dancing really turns me on.” Aurora’s gaze dropped down to Lola’s lips. “You want to try now?” Lola shrugged, “Later in life we can blame it being on drunk.” She licked her lips and eyes Lola dubiously. “Are you sure you’re a good kisser?” Lola paused, “I’ve been told I am exceptional at it. Yourself?” Aurora took a moment to think about how to answer that. “Past intermediate. Nearing expert.” Lola licked her own lips, “Okay. So this should be one of my more enjoyable kisses.” They both leaned in at the same time, lips meeting at the midpoint. Lola, as she was with anything and everything, was the dominant one, using gentle pressure to coerce Aurora’s lips into opening. Once achieved, they’re tongue swirled together. Exploring. Tasting. Experimenting. After a long moment Lola wretched her lips away from Aurora, gasping for breath. “Well?” “You are definitely an exceptional kisser,” Aurora admitted. “I’ll give you that.” “And you are definitely in expert,” Lola said. “Sadly, however, my dear, you’re just not man enough for me.” “You had that problem too?” Lola nodded, “Yeah, apparently there is more to men than penetration.” “Too bad though,” Aurora commented. “Lesbianism would have solved a lot of our man troubles.” She sighed, standing up. “Yes, but definitely a suitable replacement if the male population ever diminishes to nothingness.” “I’ll be sure to keep you in mind then.” “I have to get going,” Lola said looking down at her watch. “I’ll see you later?” “Bye Lo.” Dallie sat in the plush leather seat, reading, well rereading was the case, Mark Danielewski's House of Leaves when he heard someone quietly enter the house. Not that he didn’t know who it was, for it could be her entering this late of hour. “Well aren’t you smelling of sex and beer,” Dallie drawled, setting his book on his lap when she entered the room. “How observant of you, Dallas,” Lola returned, leaning against the wall. “Did you have to hire detectives for that one or did you figure it out on your own?” “So who was the lucky victim to your preying mantis ways tonight?” Dallie asked, as she began to cross the room to get to her own. “I don’t bite off all their heads,” Lola pointed out, walking past him, “Some are good enough for at least a second round.” Dallie stood up, holding the book in his hand. “Well who was the guy?” “She.” She paused long enough to throw over her shoulder, “Aurora was the lucky ‘guy’.” He felt his jaw slacken and his eyes go wide and before he knew it the book he had been reading somehow landed on the floor by his feet. “What?” Lola didn’t reply just continued going up the steps. “Lola!” Dallie called after her, before leaning against the stair rail. “Lorelai Emily DuGrey!” His calls were met with silence. Dallie sighed, willing away the rather erotic images of the two girls together and instead putting all his concentration to picking up his book. He had only had a hunch before, but now it was indeed fact. Lola DuGrey would sleep with anyone before she slept with him.
